It is exactly that. You have to remember, everything is relative, not absolute, it is literally impossible for any major automanufacturer to build a 2000lb car anymore, unless it is a Smart....so Nissan could never REBUILD the 240Z, it is going to weigh that much more, and therefore will need that much more power to fit into that same sort of niche. I'm not sure what people think Nissan had to do in order to return to that niche the 240Z found.
